India Street "Little Italy" Revitalization, Phase II, San
Diego, California:
We
are currently providing full civil engineering services as Prime
Consultant to Centre City Development Corporation for the India
Street "Little Italy" Revitalization, Phase II. Improvements
include upgrade and replacement of the existing surfaces with
particular sensitivity to retaining the original character along
India Street; landscape, lighting and parking improvements as
well as traffic circulation improvements and upgrades. |

City of Hope Hospital - Utility Infrastructure Upgrades,
Pasadena, California:
Providing
civil engineering services for major expansion of the existing
utility infrastructure system for the 108 acre City of Hope
Hospital Campus, including extensive coordination and location
of existing underground utilities, horizontal and vertical alignment
studies for major utility expansion, coordination with all hospital
services and users regarding temporary access, temporary utility
services and coordination with on-going hospital expansion project.

Little Italy Residential Project, San Diego, California:
Providing
full civil engineering services for the Little Italy Residential
Project, encompassing the entire block between State Street,
Columbia Street, Ash Street and Beech Street. Services include
public improvements along all street frontages, grading, storm
drainage, domestic water and fire supply systems; sanitary sewer
systems, horizontal and vertical controls. |

SeaWorld Journey to Atlantis Attraction, San Diego, California:
Responsible
for site engineering and major infrastructure for SeaWorld
Marine Park's 16-acre expansion. The precise nature of
this project is confidential at this time. Civil engineering
services include site grading; major utility infrastructure
including domestic and fire water supply systems, life support
systems, and sanitary sewer systems; storm drainage systems
and storm drainage lift stations and coordination with a broad
range of design and theming consultants.

Cardiff State Beach, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California:
Providing
civil engineering services to the State of California,
Department of Parks and Recreation for the16 acre Cardiff
State Beach site adjacent to Pacific Coast Highway. Includes
extensive demolition of existing parking facilities; design
of new parking facilities and storm drainage systems including
post construction best management practices for storm water
runoff; underground site utilities, site grading, shoreline
revetment protection including below grade sheet piling and
protection stone; decorative site walls, ADA accessibility
pathways and horizontal and vertical controls. This project
also provides for extensive offsite improvements along the
frontage of Pacific Coast Highway, and multiple agency review
and approval.

Bolsa Chica State Beach Site Improvements, Huntington Beach,
California:
Responsible
for site engineering and site infrastructure for a 3 mile length
of the Bolsa Chica State Beach, including site grading,
storm drainage systems, domestic and fire water supply systems,
sanitary sewer systems, enhanced hardscape and pavement modifications,
sand control walls, horizontal and vertical control.

SeaWorld Hardscape Improvements, San Diego, California:
Responsible
for civil engineering services for demolition and reconstruction
of major portions of site hardscape at SeaWorld, San Diego
including structural concrete pavements at the Shamu Medical
Pool area to support 120-ton crane loads, as well as provide
decorative patterns and finishes, demolition and reconstruction
of concrete hardscape at Polar Bear Plaza, including
horizontal control for a large scale starfish pattern in specially
finished concrete pavement, removal and reconstruction of
a major portion of concrete hardscape adjacent to the arcade
building and Bird Show Stadium.

Balboa
Park Arcade, San Diego, California:
Provided
civil engineering services for restoration of the Arcade
at Balboa Park, originally constructed for the 1920 World's
Fair. Services included existing conditions inventory, constraints
analysis, identification of ADA deficiencies, preliminary engineering.

SeaWorld - Shipwreck Rapids, San Diego, California:
Provided
civil engineering services for SeaWorld's Shipwreck Rapids
attraction, including major infrastructure modifications and
improvements to more than 5 acres of the existing SeaWorld
Adventure Park. Flores Lund Consultants provided all civil
engineering services for design of this river rapids ride,
including several major animal exhibits, a major restaurant
and other themed attraction elements. Our services included
design of modifications to SeaWorld's domestic water
supply system, sewer system, storm drain system, including
storm drain lift stations and onsite storm water treatment
facilities, modifications to life support system piping, site
grading and ride trough grading, vertical and horizontal control,
and preparation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan.
This project was awarded Project Of The Year 1999 by
the Association Of General Contractors.

San Diego Downtown Main Library, San Diego, California:
Responsible
for site engineering and offsite public improvements for the
new San Diego Downtown Main Library, including site
demolition, site grading, storm drainage, water supply systems,
sanitary sewer systems, streetscape improvements, coordination
with the City of San Diego and Centre City Development
Corporation.

San
Diego High School Modernization, San Diego, California:
Responsible
for site engineering for the modernization and addition to an
existing high school for the San Diego Unified School District,
which included grading, storm drainage, domestic and fire water
supply systems; sewer, hardscape, and coordination with existing
structures and utilities for construction of new classrooms;
outdoor patio areas and an access road. Services also included
a grand stairway entrance to the campus, with separate handicap
access ramp coordinated with stairway landings, a pedestrian
bridge, existing buildings and street access. This feature involved
particularly challenging grade constraints. This project
was awarded a citation from the American Institute of Architects. |
